# Link Snapchat

> Prepare and connect a Snapchat Public Professional Profile.

> Snapchat requires a Public Profile configured as a Professional Profile before it can be connected for publishing.

## Create a Public Professional Profile

If the account is not ready yet:

1. Open the Snapchat mobile app and tap your profile icon.
2. Choose **Public Profile** and follow the setup prompts.
3. Open the Public Profile settings.
4. Choose **Switch to a Professional Profile**.
5. Select the appropriate category and confirm.

A standard private profile cannot be connected. Professional status is also required for publishing features such as Stories.

## Connect Snapchat

1. In Overlap, open **Accounts** and select **Snapchat**.
2. Choose **Connect**.
3. Sign in to Snapchat if prompted.
4. Review the requested permissions and choose **Continue**.
5. Return to Overlap and confirm the Public Profile appears as **Connected**.

If the connection completes but publishing features are unavailable, verify in Snapchat that the selected Public Profile is still a Professional Profile.
