Threads authorization uses the Instagram account associated with the Threads profile.

Connect Threads

  1. Open Accounts and select Threads.
  2. Choose Connect.
  3. Sign in with the Instagram account associated with the intended Threads profile.
  4. Approve every requested Threads permission.
  5. If this profile was connected previously, choose Continue to renew the authorization.
  6. Return to Overlap and confirm the Threads profile appears as Connected.
If a required permission was turned off, open the Threads website-permission settings, restore access, and relink the account in Overlap.
Signing in with an Instagram account that does not have the intended Threads profile will connect the wrong identity or leave no eligible profile to select.
