Add motion graphics

Add Motion Graphics sends each saved clip to Overlap’s editing agent, which analyzes the footage, plans a sparse storyboard, previews each scene, and attaches the approved results as editable layers.

Add the node

Add a clip-producing step first, such as Manual Trigger -> Find Clips. Then choose Add Motion Graphics from the Editing stage.

Set creative direction

Use Creative direction to describe the graphics system you want across the clip. Include visual tone, pacing, typography, useful graphic moments, or concepts to avoid. For example: “Restrained documentary graphics with clean source cards, subtle map beats, and kinetic type only for key phrases.” Choose Auto to let the agent select overlays or full-screen interstitials from the footage context. You can also constrain the run to overlays or full-screen interstitials and set the maximum number of scenes.

Use your current brand

The node shows the current My Brand kit, including its logo, palette, and font. Click Add website when no brand exists, or Edit brand to open the complete brand editor without leaving the workflow. You can import a website, change logos, colors, typography, voice, and motion-kit defaults, then save them from the inline editor. The agent reads the latest saved brand, voice, and motion kit when the workflow runs, so the workflow does not retain a stale copy.

Continue adding layers

The node preserves the clip ID and attaches motion graphics as editable scenes rather than flattening them into a rendered video. Put Subtitles, Title Overlay, Add Watermark, music, and other layer nodes after it. The final render composes those later layers with the generated scenes. For best results, place Add Motion Graphics after operations that change clip timing or canvas dimensions, such as trimming and reframing.
